I am SO very happy to announce that Karen Davis will be joining me at Promised Land Services as my business partner!  We will be re-vamping PLS to better serve you, our customers.  It’s nice to have growing pains and need to expand, and it’s even nicer to find someone as wonderful as Karen to join me in the growth process.

Our goal is to make PLS an even better place that offers folks options so that they can stay home and earn a living.  We want to serve you better!

We have lots of great ideas for re-packaging our services and making PLS a wonderful community to share, learn, and earn.  We will be introducing new products and services soon, so stay tuned!

Don’t be alarmed if you get emails from Karen in my stead.  I know you’ll love her!  She’s an awesome person that I have been blessed to know for several years.  Now, I have the great priviledge of working with her as well!

My bookstore has been on the blink for a while.  The company I work with to help with inventory, etc. has changed servers and it’s caused some downtime while they got the site working again.

The kids and I are taking a vacation next week.  We will spend the week on the coast in Florida.  That’s one of my favorite benefits of owning my own internet business.  This doesn’t mean I won’t be available.  I will still answer emails and make sure everything is running smoothly.  But, anywhere I can find internet access and a computer, I can take my business along for the ride.

One of the quickest and easiest ways to make money from home is with eBay.

I love to read. And I have a mountain of books. So many books that they are taking over my house! And so I’ve decided to get rid of them all. I started listing them on eBay - opened up my own eBay store - and I’ve already made money.

I listed a book Sunday afternoon and within an hour or two it had already sold! How’s that for quick cash?? Other books I listed as an auction and within hours, if not minutes, I already has bids.

When you put your items on eBay, your market is the world! I’ve had some great success on eBay and have always found it to be the easiest way to make cash on demand.

We had a relatively smooth transition to the new server, which is now complete. If you notice anything unusual or seem to have any problems, please let me know.

The only real difference I’ve noticed that may cause some problems is the upgraded MySQL which can cause problems with old password scripts. See my Tech Tip for today.

Our servers now have Fantastico installed. If you aren’t familiar with Fantastico, it’s a collection of scripts and templates to help you get your website up and running quicker than ever!

We are in the process of upgrading one of our servers. Some of you with websites at PLS may notice some changes in your cpanel in the next few days. Hopefully you will be pleased with the changes as well as the increased performance of the new server.

If you have any MySQL database scripts that process your databases, please try to hold off on using those scripts for a couple of days so that we make sure we don’t lose any data in the transfer process.
